Summer Season Board: Chipmunk

We have a large old oak tree and several walnuts in our yard, so we naturally have an abundance of chipmunks and squirrels. The Eastern Chipmunks (Tamias striatus) are cuter in my opinion, so that's what we learned about 😂.

I cut open an acorn so the girls could see the nut in the middle and I realized that it was actually the first time I've ever done that. I always knew there was a nut inside and it was really neat to see it for once. It dried out quickly and shriveled up before I got a photo a few days later - I wanted to make sure the glue was good and dry before I hung them up.
